At the beginning of 2016, MTB rider Fabio Schäfer founded the Scrape Gear brand with the aim of creating clothing for freeride, downhill and gravity mountain bikers that differs from the usual designs and prefers to be a little more discreet than the gaudy alternatives. Fabio Schäfer is a mountain biker who has made mountain biking his life's work for more than 25 years and still creates and tests all designs himself together with his wife Liz. Most people probably know him through his YouTube channel, where he accompanies his followers in their everyday life and on their excursions.
His motto "Fight your Demons" stands for overcoming the inner pig dog. Especially when biking you often get into situations where you have to fight against yourself. But the focus here is on the positive vibes, to increase oneself and to have a good time with the Buddies who have the same passion and less on the competitive idea.
When it comes to Scrape Gear, Fabio focuses on the basics that every rider needs: gloves, jerseys and goggles. The designs are simple, but anything but boring. Instead of bright colors, Fabio focuses on unusual patterns in subtle shades. The selection of jerseys, gloves, goggles, t-shirts and sweaters is now available exclusively in our shop.

Those who know Fabio Schäfer know that he burns for his passion. That's why he is a full-time mountain biker and why Gravity Magazine and Scrape Gear were born. In addition, he currently runs an ice cream parlor and has a family with whom he would like to spend time.
