The company Scott was born in 1958. The engineer and skier Ed Scott, a native of the Sun Valley, developed the first aluminium ski pole. This was superior to the then usual bamboo or steel poles and replaced those traditional ones. Because of this success, the company Scott USA developed and over time, the company grew to a leading manufacturer of a wide variety of sporting goods.
In 1970, Scott created special goggles for motocross, which appeared on the market the same year. Since then, Scott developed more products like motocross goggles and accessories, handles, sleeves, on-off switches, jerseys, pants and many more. Even in the stretwear section, there are a variety of Scott products, such as shirts, hoodies, pants and caps.
Scott focuses primarily on the areas bike, winter sports, motorsports (especially motocross) and running and is now the supplier of the ProTour team HTC Highroad, the Commerzbank tritathlon team and the German Dirtjumper teams.
