FRITZEL Platzhirsch Tapered

@fuise_official

It is the cold season! Especially in higher regions, environments in which I love to ride Hard Enduro, I was really looking forward to what was coming: Little green, many stones, high mountains and foggy views. For me as an absolute fan of winter, this situation was perfect to take a closer look at the Platzhirsch handlebar by FRITZEL!

Preparation

To prepare for the day ahead, the handlebar was first assembled. The first impression of the handlebar was very positive. It looked very robust and high quality finished. Due to the available adjustment scale on the handlebar I could easily adopt the adjustment of the original. Additionally, the riffled ends provided optimal positioning and grip.

At 8 am I finally left for Bergisches Land. To fix my KTM on the trailer, I used the new FRITZEL Quasselstrippe straps. These are much thicker and more robust than my previous ones and in combination with the FRITZEL Gabelzähmer Fork Support they are especially good for securing the bike during the ride without having to pre-tension the fork too much.

When I finally arrived, I dressed quickly and just kicked it off. As it had rained the day before, the conditions were perfect: No rain & optimal ground conditions!

Product Test

Due to the many single trails, hill climbs and stony passages, I was able to push the handlebar to its limits.
The position of the handlebar was very comfortable and sporty due to the slight curvature of the handlebar and also in downhill riding it had a shock absorbing and low vibration function.

The description of the handlebar also promises a "corrosion-free and stylish finish" of the coating with long durability - and it delivers! The handlebar is as good as new even after rough stone impacts.

Conclusion

In general, I liked the bar very much - both visually and practically - and I was particularly impressed by the durability of the anodizing.

The only weakness: According to the manufacturer, the handlebar fits a variety of bikes, including my 2019 KTM EXC 300. The Platzhirsch with a diameter of 28.6 mm was a bit too thick for my 28.5 mm mount and therefore not perfectly fitting. In the meantime I have tested the handlebar for several hours without any changes in position.

In summary, it can be said that the FRITZEL Platzhirsch is not only an extremely beautiful handlebar, but also convinces with its top price and top performance.

Buy recommendation? Definitely!
