About Shoei
Since 1958 SHOEI has been dedicated to the development of top helmets. Eitaro Kamata founded the company with his immense energy and his well-known determination. Even when Shoei was still in its infancy, they developed the first motorcycle and car racing helmets exclusively for the racing sector. Even with today’s standards, the pace at which Shoei became known all over the world still amazes. In the late sixties, Shoei’s reputation as a top quality brand spread initially only in the USA, but from there all over the world.
It’s also amazing that everyone in the motorcycle world can spell the name Shoei, although the team around the company is about 500 people. With a lot of dedication and care, these people work day after day in their production facilities. All helmets and spare parts are manufactured in Japan without exception. Although the production costs in Japan are by far higher than in other countries of the world, Shoei adheres to this philosophy. So it goes without saying that every product is tested and inspected by hand. It’s almost impossible that defective products leave the factories. Ambition and attention to detail are typical for Shoei.
